Pre-eclampsia is a unique multi-system disorder that occurs during the second half of pregnancy and is characterized by the arterial hypertension and proteinuria manifesting by heterogeneous disorders and adversely affecting the condition of the mother and the fetus. It has one of the leading positions in maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality in the world. The article overviews the data on modern renal biomarkers taking into account pathogenetic kidney damage during preeclampsia. Characteristic of proposed markers used in laboratory diagnosis and researched in experiments is provided, indicating the mechanism and timing of changes of their levels in case of damage to various segments of the nephron, the correlation between the severity of kidney damage, the prospects for being used in clinical practice in each trimester of pregnancy.Downloads
